HTML 5 Cheatsheet

Courtesy of Chris Hanscom, Smashing Magazine have released an HTML5 cheatsheet, which if you’ve not been following the developments of HTML is definitely worth taking a look at.

Whilst many of the new HTML5 tags won’t be available to use for many years to come, it is worth keeping an eye on developments so that it doesn’t come as a huge learning curve when browsers do start to adopt the new standard.

HTML5 is still a work in progress but I’d expect some browsers to start adopting the new tags well before it becomes a standard (in a similar way to how CSS3 properties are now available in some browsers).

Hi Mario, thanks for letting me know. It looks like they’ve done something clever with their code which prevents external sites linking directly to the PDF document.

I’ve fixed the link above so that it links through to the correct page and then you’ll have to click on the PDF download from their site to get it.
